Section 2: Research Interests and Grants
My main research interests for this project is to understand the solar wind MHD turbulence, including
the Kolmogorov cascade process, and how it can be described by realizations of a continuous-time random walk. Our recent work concerns how to describe it as a Markov process for counting processes obeying the Poisson law, and we will examine the scale-dependent probability distribution functions, which is governed by a linear Boltzmann equation. We will classify the intermittency nature of the solar wind MHD turbulence using an advection-diffusion-and-jump partial-integro-equation, allowing a general framework to describe the solar wind MHD turbulence.
